What is Teen Therapy

Teen therapy is counseling designed specifically for adolescents, usually between the ages of 12 and 19, to help them navigate the unique emotional, social, and developmental challenges of this stage of life.

A trained therapist works with teens to:

Manage emotions and stress related to school, friendships, family relationships, or life changes.

Address concerns such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, identity exploration, grief, or peer pressure.

Develop coping skills for handling challenges in healthy, constructive ways.

Build confidence and self-awareness to support personal growth and resilience.

Teen therapy can be individual (just the teen and therapist) or may involve parents or caregivers at times to support healthy communication and family understanding. The goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where teens feel heard, respected, and empowered to thrive.
